This was an awful day for me.  I shoulda saw this comin’.  My children just got done eating their lunch when I was notified that a co-worker of mine past away.  She was stricken with an illness last March, did a good job recovering, and then a few weeks ago the illness came back and she couldn’t fight back this time.  It deeply upset me as this coworker was just a few years older than me and a very good person at heart.  Then when I got home the ceiling in my frontroom was all wet.  The three year old upstairs accidently knocked down a big jug of drinking water that was housed in the frontroom and not the kitchen.  The tendinitis in my feet has been flared up for a week now also.  I should have not even attempted to keep up on the game, but as a dedicated fan – I just had to.   I was hopeful as I started watching the game but then Gavin made two big pitches to BJ Upton that set the tone for the Rays early on.  They caught on to the momentum and didn’t let it go.  It is okay though.  The boys did way better than  expected this 08 season and even though this loss was painful, it wasn’t debilitating.  I wish the Tampa Rays the best of luck in their future endeavor(s) as I believe they are a really good team with drive, determination, and grit.  I find that Joe Maddon is very mellow and think he has done a great job taking a bottom feeder team over the past few years and making them honest contenders.

The Cell will lie dormant for a few months.  The players will let their bodies and mind heal.  We fans should be able to get over this loss in a few days and then enjoy watching the rest of the playoff games . It won’t be the same as we won’t be emotionally invested, but hopefully it will be good.  The cold winter will settle in on the big beautiful city of Chicago and in a few months (before you know it !!! ) spring training will grace itself upon us.

I can’t wait already as the majority of this team will hopefully stay in tact.  The injured will hopefully heal.  The ones who had some delivery problems will hopefully get it together.   KW may throw in some additional good players to the mix. 09 should be a promising , optimistic, and exciting season.  

Thank You White Sox players for making this season give me an ulcer (not really , but almost ).  Thank You again for making me want to throw stuff at my t.v. and making this lil’ lady curse like a sailor !! BUT also thank you for keeping me encouraged, hopeful , and enlightened !!
